“I love to think of the electric guitar like a 1950s chopped and lowered flat-black muscle car, super-fast with a low roar on the exhaust.”

My first act was (as it is at every Double R birthday event) to ‘In Dreams’ by Roy Orbison, from the Blue Velvet OST. My second act, in tribute to the late great Alan Vega, was a version of ‘Ghost Rider’ (originally by Suicide -from their eponymous debut album) though the version I covered was by Anna Calvi, which appears on her Strange Weather EP.
