How’s That Ghost Limb?

So, since the surgery, how’s that ghost limb?
Hey man, say man have you been rubbin’ your nub?
Por favor
De no sacar los manos, de no sacar los manos
Fuera de la ventana
So cuenta es muchas dinero lo siento
But I have got to hand it to you, you’re taking this extremely well
Ah rub it on me, rub it on me Duane
So since the surgery, how’s that ghost limb?
Hey man, say man have you been rubbin’ your nub?

“Although Nub is about a little boy who lost his hand out of a bus window, I like to picture the one-armed man in Twin Peaks with his shirt off and his nub all a-twitchin’.”

– David Yow

As an interesting side-note, apropos of nothing, for many years I thought the Spanish lyric “De no sacar los manos” was in fact Yow screaming “We’re not some godless mammals!”

Al Strobel as the one armed man
