The Summer Of Unease Is DEAD, Long Live The Summer Of Unease!
And just in case you wondered what on earth (or indeed elsewhere) the post below was all about… THIS IS IT (or at least a taster of it):
The final show of our Summer of Unease, I think, was an ideal manifestation of everything that The Double R Club has become over the 4 years of its existence, and more besides. It remains the most overtly theatrical, adventurous and ambitious thing we’ve ever staged and it was a joy to do so within the hallowed womb of the Wonderground Spiegeltent. Dreams were dreamed, minds were tied in knots, stomachs were turned, libidos were savaged, realities were turned on their heads…
Now… onward to our 4th Birthday Party on September 19th, at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club:
Strange things will ‘occur’,
Party hats will be worn,
The impossible will walk forth,
There will be cake,
T H E O W L S W I L L B E F L Y I N G .
