And so, The Double R Club‘s ‘Summer Of Unease’ rolls on…
Next stop, two VERY special shows at The London Wonderground Spiegeltent, about which we are indecently excited. The first taking place on July 12th, these will be Double R shows unlike ANY we’ve ever staged before… For starters they will take place in the beautiful Spiegeltent, a space that r e s o n a t e s with the history of cabaret and performance and thus affords us greater scope to play with staging and lighting etc. -also, these will be ALL SEATED shows.
In addition to the environment, and in an attempt to deepen the experience and double down on the dread, we’ve put our heads together and dreamed up certain… ‘things’… a number of ‘visitations’… There will be the very first appearance of our very own MYSTERY MAN from another place: ‘Blackhand’ woven throughout the show; he will stalk the shadows behind the stalls, he may do terrible things… There will be the materialisation of a giant, skinned MONSTER of uncertain origin and equally uncertain intent… and there will be the inaugural performance by The RR No-Go Go-Go Dancers!
